My very special, very wonderful Mother'sDay weekend began Friday morning when I went to a little Mother's Day Bruch at Jolie's Pre-School, it was really sweet, they had some little foods out and the kids made the Mom's little gifts. She made me a little paper flower that was super cute as well as a really pretty wind chime. It was nice and she showed me around her classroom and her work that was on the walls. I also got a chance to meet some of her friend's Mothers that will be coming to her Birthday Party next weekend.
Then yesterday morning Rich sent for me for a wonderful manicure and pedicure, it was so nice and relaxing, I loved it! Then our parents watched the kids so Rich and I could go to Tampa Bay Downs for some local horse racing and to watch the Derby. We met up with some friends and had lovely cocktails and made horse bets and cheered on the races, it was really fun! I forgot to take pictures over the weekend but I will say my Derby outfit was amazing and so super cute! I might have had a few more drinks than needed but I stayed in control and it was fine. We went for a nice dinner after the races and it was so nice, Rich did an amazing job making yesterday very special for me and it totally was.
This morning, Rich and Jolie made me a wonderful breakfast of eggs and bacon and even served in bed with super cute cards and beautiful flowers, it really was so sweet of them. The breakfast was really good, which actually surprised me since Rich doesn't cook often. After breakfast Rich took care of the kids so I could just lay around in bed and take a little nap, it was honestly awesome! Now both kids are napping and Rich is with is Mom. Once the girls wake up we are off to hang with my Mom and Grandma and then eat dinner, it sure has been a great day!
Tomorrow is a super huge day as Jolie turns 4 years old! It is hard to believe that my little muffin has gone from that gorgeous little baby to a smart and active and still beautiful 4 year old, amazing! Will post this week all about Jolie's Birthday!

The Royal Wedding....
So I am currently sitting in my bed with both of my daughters watching the Royal Wedding. I wish I could sit here the rest of the morning and finish watching all the coverage and love on my girls but with today being the last selling day of the month that won't be happening. Jolie came in my room about 20 minutes ago and I told her a princess was getting married and she has been glued to it ever since. Although she did tell me she wants to be a princess too. I guess we all kind of doing....however, I just hope she grows up feeling as special as a princess everyday and that wil be enough for me.

Is it a full moon????
Just wondering if there is a full moon going on...such weird things have happened to me over the last few days....here is my list of recent craziness and just all around funny stories!!!
1. This morning I got up, got dressed, I picked up Avery, her boppy pillow, my pump bag and started down the stairs in my super cute kelly green shirt and white skirt. About half way down the stairs I hear Avery have a blowout in her diaper, I don't thing much about it, this happens all the time, she is a 4 month old infant. I get to the bottom of the stairs, I put down the pillow and other things and look down to realize there is poopy on her leg, outside of her diaper, I still don't think too much of this, I grab her extra outfit, put her on her changing table and begin to change her diaper when I realize that not only is poopy on her leg, it is on my green shirt and ALL over my white skirt. So obviously Mommy had to come back upstairs and rework the outfit for the day. I then had to wash out/rinse my clothes and start laundry, not a good start to my morning!
2. Tonight, Rich and I had just finished eating dinner when I noticed our two cats were messing with something on the floor by the dining room table. I walk over there and they take off to half way up the stairs, one of them has something in his month. They get half way up the stairs and stop and play with something. I look...only to realize it is a real large half dead/half alive lizard. I of course immediately insist Rich take care of this situation. Rich gets it way from the cats and throws it out the front door...who knows where that ended up.
So after I re-read my short list of oddball occurrences I have just realized maybe it isn't a full moon....it must be some sort of black hole on my staircase, about half way up.
In other news....Rich is surveying his week of Daddy Daycare with the girls although with the exception of Monday he has only ended up having one girl most the day, I will however give him all the credit in the world though because he is handling it all like a champ. The girls are having a great time. Jolie got to spend yesterday with some Daddy time at the playground in the mall plus some arcade time and a little food court lunch while my mother-in-law watched Avery. Then last night Jolie spent the night at my Mom and Dad's house and then this morning Poppy took her to the Aquarium and for a Trolley ride from downtown to Ybor City and back and some lunch and then a nap at Mimi and Poppy's house, she had a great time. Tomorrow the girls will be with Rich all day but I thing the plan is to stick around the house and play. Rich has recently taught Jolie to play Mario Kart on the Wii so I think there maybe some racing in store for them tomorrow. I on the other hand have 2 long, hard, important days ahead of me at work, it is the end of the month, the end of our goal cycle and 1/3 through the final quarter for two of our largest suppliers, needless to say the pressure is on!

Happy Easter!!
I hope everyone else had as great of a day as The Perillo's did! Rich and I even commented this afternoon that this may have been one of the best holidays in recent memory. We had a great lunch at my Mom and Dad's house and a little Easter Egg hunt for Jolie. It was real nice and Dad got some great pictures on his camera so I don't have one to leave you with but I will add one soon, promise. But let me say both girls looked so cute in their Eater dresses and hair bows, I loved it!
Happy Easter!!!!

Random Pictures from my Blackberry and Camera
So I haven't uploaded pictures from my phone in awhile and I decided to do so this morning and I know I haven't posted many pictures lately because I have been on the I-Pad and to be honest pictures is one of the things I haven't mastered on the I-Pad yet, so for your viewing pleasure random pictures with a few random stories....
Now that was the end of the phone pics and then I got motivated and decided to include a few from the camera as well, here are those.
The above picture was taken on March 21st by my husband Rich while I was working as a little pick me and make me smile, it did that well, she is just so darn cute!!
The above picture was taken on March 19th right after I came home from the mall and discovered my new obsession, babies in big hair bows, I just love it! I think she is so cute anyways but add in a giant bow that makes her look like a little gift and I could just eat her up!!
The above picture was taken on March 20th because I wanted to capture how super cute my little baby was on that day and any other day for that matter, it was just the Mom thing to do!!
This picture was taken at my parents house the day of the CRAZY storm that including a tornado that hit my warehouse/office where I work. That was on March 31st, I even sent it to the local news channel and they used it on TV and their website, by the way where all that water is there is normally my parent's street!!
Again just a random picture because like any Mom I think my baby is the cutest!!
This is the worst, most unflattering picture of me but I am sharing it because it was a Monday that Jolie was helping me in the kitchen, she really loves that as you can see from the big smile on her face. I was actually teaching her to use a knife and I have to say she did amazingly well, it is just amazing how fast she is growing up!
I took this picture last Sunday as the girls were laying in our bed in our master bedroom in their PJ's. They had such a good time just playing in there. For anyone that knows me well you know that I love my bed and thing that it is literally headquarters for my house. I do so much from there including work, phone calls, play with my kids and then of course the normal bed stuff as well but it is for sure my favorite place to be!!
I took this picture of the sky as I drove to see my friend Sarah on Sunday morning. The writing is upside down and hard to read but it says "Jesus Loves U" and I just thought on a day that beautiful and heaven sent it was such a fitting message and I wanted to share.
This was taken Monday night as Avery got her first taste of rice cereal that she absolutely loved!!
Now that was the end of the phone pics and then I got motivated and decided to include a few from the camera as well, here are those.
This picture was from our no kids allowed date day in March. We didn't get to squeeze one into the month of April but we have one planned for Derby Day in May, I still have to go shop and get a dress and hat for Derby Day but I am really excited about that one, thanks to my parents monthly date days are possible and it is great for Rich and I to spend some alone time doing fun stuff.
This picture is from my Grandfather's 90th Birthday party that we threw at the end of March, this is a picture with his grand kids and of course his oldest Great Granddaughter.
Again from the 90th Birthday Party my Grandfather with his 3 children.
Poppy and his granddaughters, he loves them and they just adore him!!
This is from Avery's Christening at the end of March.
This is Avery with her God Parents, Parents, and Big Sister.
Me and Avery blowing out the candles on my 31st Birthday cake!
My Grandmother from last weekend when we celebrated her 87th Birthday! Her actual birthday is on Easter Sunday.

Avery at 4 months
Avery turned 4 months yesterday but had her 4 month doctor's appointment today so I held off writing this post until today so I had all the information on her size to share. Anyone that ask I tell them she is a big baby, I am constently trying to remember if Jolie was this big at this age and if it is normal to have a child this size, she really is that big and it was proven at the doctor's office this morning, she is nearly off the charts for her age. I always remind people that only know me or don't know Rich well that my husband is 6 feet, 5 inches tall because both of the girls have his height as well all know they did not get that from me, although I do remind Rich that I did an amazing job "cooking" them in the oven. So without further ado here are the stats on our "little" girl
height: 25.75 inches, 94th percentile
weight: 16lbs. 8 oz, 96th percentile
head circumference:17.13 inches, 96th percentile
WOW, she is getting so big so fast, part of me wanted her to stay smaller longer knowing she is our last baby but as you can see that dream is gone. She wears 6 month clothes but they are getting small and I haveeven taken out some 6-9 month clothes and those barely fit as well. This weekend we bought her a bathing suit and had to buy a 12 months size. The way she is growing she will be catching up to Jolie before we know it! Dr. Anton says she is doing great and progressing at a normal pace with her milestones. He also cleared her to eat solid foods so tonight I will be making her some rice cearl and starting her on that. I am hoping with the addition of some solids it will help her stretch out her bottles a little bit as I feel like all we do is feed her and that she is always hungery. After the cearl goes well for a week or two then it is on to veggies, starting with the orange and yellows first and then the greens and after that fruits. I can't believe my little tiny baby is going to be eating food already.
Avery's likes at 4 months are:
-being held in a sitting position and her bumbo
-chewing on anything, her hands, her toys, her burp cloth, blanket, anything
-bath time
-her big sister, she loves her so much and smiles when Jolie talks and sings to her, which Jolie really likes too so that is awesome!
-sitting in her bouncy seat watching Mommy make dinner
Avery's dislikes at 4 months are:
-getting dressed and undressed
-the sun in her eyes when she is outside
-not being able to see Mommy
-being on her tummy, she is not a fan of tummy time, which is funny because Jolie loved tummy time
-the 30 minutes to an hour before she goes bed, that is for sure her fussy time
I feel so blessed to have both of my girls, I was just commenting to Rich the other night how complete our family feels and how it already seems as though Avery has been a part of our family forever even though she is only 4 months old. I am really excited about dressing the girls up on Sunday in their Easter dresses, I know they are just going to be so darn cute! We have plans with my Mom and Dad to color Easter eggs on Friday night so I know that will be a lot of fun with Jolie and then in just a couple of weeks Jolie will be 4 years old, that just seems so crazy! It makes me feel so old!!

Toys and Kid Stuff...........
So currently I am taking a breather on the couch, watching, well at least listening to the 6 o'clock News, and then it is off to finish up the cleaning of the downstairs of our house and then on to the kitchen to make dinner for the family. But it is in my cleaning of the downstairs that I came up with a question.....here it goes. I know so many of my friends, that hopefully read my blog, well hopefully someone reads it besides me, any way I digress, have small children like myself, some of my friends work in the home and some outside of it but that doesn't even matter in this question, this question just has to do with the kids. So is it just our house or does it happen every where to everyone, in that your living room, in our case the downstairs of our house is just overwhelmed with kid's stuff, I mean there is no hiding it when you walk in the front door that children live in our home, I feel as though Babies R Us has thrown up in my main living space and for that matter every room in my house. We have a pack n play, bumbo seat, bouncy seat, two toy bins of Jolie's stuff under the front console table, sing-a-ma-jigs galore, small children seats, you name it, it is just everywhere and I guess it is just the stage of life we are in but I so want an adult space. Even my master bedroom and bathroom are over run with kid stuff, I have a bassinet, a bouncy seat that I use when I take a shower, clothes that have been folded but await someone with 5 minutes to put them away, a little kid's bathtub, just stuff ,then of course there is the kid's rooms which look like toy stores as neither of our kids are doing with out much, well I don't really think they are doing without anything. Although I guess that is the American Dream, to give your children more than you had and since I wasn't missing much, my kids aren't either! So just a quick break from cleaning rant on all the kid's stuff we have laying around....I am always reminded of this on cleaning day as I swear I could clean faster if there was less stuff!!!
Good Sunday Morning....
Avery had a small rough patch in the night around 1:30 am but she did eventually go back to bed, thank goodness I was super tired. Her and I had a great night alone last night, it just felt so easy and quiet. TheO's beat the Rays again so Rich came home happy, plus he got the free giveaway of the night which was a Longoria Baseball glove, sure Jolie will end up with it. Now I have to run, got to get ready for church and pick up Jolie on the way.
We hope you have a wonderful Sunday filled with worship, family, and friends!

Saturday Fun....
So after a rocky start to our day with a restless night of sleep our day has turned out to be wonderful! Avery finally went down for good sleep from about 4 am until about 6:30 am, I think she might be cutting teeth and that might have been what lead us to a restless night and thus my 3 am post, hopefully my post makes sense, I might have to go back and re-read and thus edit so that it sounds normal as opposed to the sleep deprived rambling rant that I sure it is. Anyways, enough of that and on to our really nice Saturday.
This morning around 8am, Rich and the girls followed me to the car repair shop and I dropped my car off for an oil change, tire rotation, new windshield wiper blades, etc, the place was having a special so it actually wasn't that expensive so that was a pleasant surprise. Then we came home and Rich went over to my Grandma's house to mow her lawn and trim a bush for her, he goes there for this almost weekly if not every other week to help her and I think it is really nice of him. Then Rich came home and watched the girls and I was able to take my Mom out for a nice lunch, just the two of us as a little "thank you for all you do to help me" lunch, needless to say a simple lunch can't even begin to describe all I owe her for but at least she knows that I am grateful for the help and that I value her as so much more than my Mom these days. I think my Mom has become my best friend over the years since I have become a mother myself I find myself asking for her opinion more than ever and I take her advice to heart anytime she offers it. After a nice lunch we ran into Walmart to try and find Jolie a few school/play clothes as she is changing sizes and the weather is warming up, we weren't very successful as it appears there are tons of other children her size that beat us to the 5T clothes, oh well, a trip to the Target might be in order for tomorrow. After that she dropped me at the car repair to pick up my car, it was ready to roll again! Then we came home and I packed up Jolie's little "Going to Grandma's" suitcase and off she went with Mimi for a sleepover. I packed her little bathing suit as well and she had a great time swimming at my parent's house with them so that's cool. Jolie truly loves the time she spends with my parents, it is so nice to see as I fondly remember sleepovers at my Grandparent's house as a child as well, I love that Rich and I have decided to for go career moves to stay near family, it is honestly worth so much more than the financial rewards of a job far away from all of this.
Not long after Jolie left, Rich left as well to take his Mom to the Baltimore O's Baseball Game as they are in town playing the Rays, the O's won last night on opening night but for Rich's delight I sure hope the O's can win again tonight! So that leaves Avery and I home alone for the evening. So I feed her, made myself some dinner, we did some Avery tummy time, she sat in her Bumbo for the first time and now is taking a little snooze in her boppy on the couch next to me as I type this post to tell all you folks about our day.
After writing all this our day doesn't sound like much but I have to tell you after the super busy weekend we had last weekend this was just what the Perillo's need, a slow paced, nice day! Tomorrow will be a chill day as well, after going to church in the morning Jolie and I will be grocery shopping and doing a BJ's run and then it will be cleaning the house and then unfortunately that will be the end of our weekend and we will be getting ready to do another work week. It will again be a busy week as I turn 31 on Thursday and then my Grandma has heart surgery on Friday and my Aunt flies in Thursday afternoon to be with Grandma. So I will be taking the day off on Friday to be with her and my family so the other four days in the work week are sure to prove extremely busy.
I also have to get a ton of pictures posted to the blog this week, it might end up being a slide show of stuff as I have so many things to share but it is a priority of mine for the week to get it done! I did however include a few pictures of our day today just to show you Baby Avery really is getting SO big, SO quickly! And just so you know I am serious about more pictures below are a few that were on my Blackberry, I will download from the regular camera one day this week, maybe tomorrow if I get a few minute.

The pregame view from Rich's seats at the Baseball game, he sent it to me on the blackberry already, got to love technology.
This was Avery's first time in the boppy!

In the wee hours of the night....
So it is a little after 3 am, yes that is 3 in the morning and I know, normal people are in bed fast asleep by now. Or if I was still in college or even in my early 20's I would be just coming home from the bars but tonight I am up for a very different reason, I am up because I have a very restless child, she has never really acted like this in her short 3 1/2 month life so it worries me but I think I have her better, she just ate and seems to be asleep, and asleep peacefully. She has spent the last several hours in a dull whine in her sleep along with just wiggling around, she has woken up twice in a full on cry and this is from a little girl that normally goes to bed about 10 pm and wakes just to eat about 4-5 am. It is unusual for her but of course happens on a Friday night when I am exhausted, I just hope she is okay though. Well, hopefully this is good night for the rest of the night, good night will update tomorrow, well really it is just later today.....Good Night!

Rain, rain go away....please don't come back on a work day!
So let's review my job....I get in my car, drive all around creation, stopping frequently at hotels, restaurants, and bars. I then get out of the car with my super cute red briefcase and a rolling bag full of wines for account to try, I know it sounds fun but this scenario is not focusing on the whole picture with my sales goals and the stress and pressure involved with that. This is meant to tell you it has rained every day this week and that my job is horrible in the rain. Yes, I have an umbrella, several in fact and again yes I have a rain coat, it is actually a super cute trench that on this lovely March day in Florida will make me sweat because coat weather has come and gone here in Tampa. So as I sit in my bed this morning in a mad debate on what is truly the best attire for a day full of massive rain storms I do know that the following applies:
1. If I wear regular length pants, I will inevitably end up with water soaked pants up to about my knees from my pants hitting the ground and the water traveling up, it is grosss I have experienced it on several occasions and thus learned that I will be wearing either shorter style more Capri pants, a skirt, or a dress.
2. No matter how hard I. Try I inevitably end up looking like a drowned rat so I don't put much time or effort into my hair or makeup for the day.
3. I take 2 umbrellas in the car this morning, just in case.
4. My Mom bought some cute, almost fashionable "water shoes" from LL Bean last year so I am almost certain I will be picking my outfit to match those today.
And then of course to absolute worst part of my day is the driving, while I have been driving 500+ miles a week for 7+ years so needless to say I am as use to most driving conditions that occur in Florida as anyone, however, it is the other people on the road that stress me out, completely dumb people take to the roads on days like today, they have no idea how to drive on a good day and choose today to get out there and go for their Sunday afternoon drive. I don't have anything to say as far as advice on this one other than look out and be careful. I am saying an extra prayer for myself and those of you that will be out and about as well. And last but not least probably my least favorite and most stressful part of a rainy weekday is having to drop Jolie off at school and also getting Avery inside at my Mom's....I hate to have either of them get wet at all but it happens, I think Jolie will be wearing her rain boots at least to school to dry to keep her out of the puddles and cause they are cute. And I will be zipping up Avery's car seat cover to try to keep her dry.
Well, after a Post totally dedicated to the fact. That I am over the rainy, nasty weather happening on a weekday, I actually wouldn't mind this for one weekend day as it is perfect sleeping, cuddling, watch movies weather and instead of staying home I am going to have to brave it and that makes me unhappy!

Miscellaneous Rambilings.....
So I have been busy, I know you aren't surprised seeing as though that seems to be all I talk about on my blog these days but I promise, I am through the worst of it and ready to talk other things, things like my kids. Like the fact I am plan Jolie's 4th Birthday Party or that Avery is just 3 months old yet wears 6 month clothes, needless to say she is growing like a weed. Last weekend we had my Welo's 90th Birthday Party (today is really his b-day, so Happy Birthday Welo) then Sunday we had Avery's Christening, it was such a beautiful little service at our church and a great get together party at my parent's house, however, it did make for a busy weekend. I could also talk about the adventures of being a working Mom that is constantly on the road but also still breastfeeding/pumping, not sure if my cute little family blog is ready for me to tell all about driving and pumping or about literal spilt milk...I think that might need to be a post all it's very own, later.
I could also talk about how I am going to 31 next week, can you imagine that just sounds old.....I am pretty sure I have spent most of my life thinking it was old, now I keep trying to tell myself it isn't that bad, we'll see if I can trick myself into thinking that. I will say recently I did get a compliment of sorts, this guy that works with my Dad says to him...."is that your daughter that just had a baby in December?". My dad says yes, the guy then says "she looks pretty good for just having a baby". As previously stated I am pretty sure that was a complement and at nearly 31 years of age I will take whatever I can get.
I could talk about all the pictures I have taken lately but haven't posted because I am still confused on how to get pictures on to the I-Pad and then into a post, I am just not technical like that, however next week Thursday on my birthday, better known to most of you as April 7th my very computer savvy Aunt is coming back to town so I plan on stealing her one day to fix all my computer issues, it should be great! Although the bad part is my Aunt is coming for my Grandma to have a pacemaker/defibulator put in on the 8th, it is going to make for a very low key b-day for me, which is fine by me. I really hope my Grandma does well and that after surgery she is ready to move around, travel, and just enjoy life, right now she is just getting winded too easily.
I do have a little bit of a funny story as well....tonight Rich and I were chatting and we were discussing my birthday and he says "well I am going to tell you what I was going to get you because I can't get it, there is no way and I thought you would really like it but just no can do". I of course think for a second, what could possibly be his plan? I am thinking maybe a concert ticket or maybe Jersey Boys as they are currently in town as well. He says "I was going to get you The Jersey Shore Mallard Phone but it is ancollector's item and at $189 is litterally sold out everywhere". Now as much as I love The Jersey Shore and subsequently love the sound of that duck phone it might very well be absurd to spend nearly $200 on it but I tip my hat to my husband, he is the best gift giver every, heck I am right you this post thanks to his amazing Christmas gift this very I-Pad. So I can't wait til next week to see what Plan B is.
Other than all of what I have already discussed plus work and the zoo of two children life is pretty good and calm right now. I plan to take my Mom to lunch on Saturday to thank her for all she does then Rich is going Saturday night to see the O's play the Rays and Jolie is going to Mimi and Poppy's for a sleepover and it looks as though little Avery and I will be doing some cleaning, I have a ton of kid's clothes to put away and move, they are both changing sizes...Jolie is going into 5T and Avery into 6 months so all of Jolie's stuff gets boxed and sent to Avery's closet and all of Avery's stuff gets boxed up and saved for my pregnant with baby triplets friend, Sarah, I am going to see her on the 16th so I want to have a ton of stuff for her. But I will be cleaning the house this weekend and cooking meals for my family and just overall doing the stuff I like the most! I love the chance to be a Mom and just feel as though I am doing the most important thing in life. I know my kids are in good hands any and every time I am away from them but boy I would so much rather get to be with them more...I am still playing the lotto in order to try to make that dream come true, will let you know if I get to call in rich anytime soon!

Avery's 2 Month Check-up
So as a part of my last day of maternity leave I took Avery for her 2 month doctor's appointment. Dr. Anton says that she looks great, she is a big girl, and he assured me the colic will subside (it is getting better but we still do nightly screaming). He says her tear duct that was clogged looks much better and to just keep massaging it daily. For the colic he says continue with the probiotics and know we are doing the right thing. She got two shots and the oral roto virus vaccine, we follow the recommendations of the Americian Association of Pediatrics so we don't space our shots.
Here are her measurements:
Weight: 13lbs. 2oz., 96th percentile
Height: 24 inches, 96th percentile
Head Circumference: 15.75 inches, 83rd percentile
On the 17th I will write her 2 month post....

The Colic Report
I am beginning to consider myself somewhat of an expert on the colic topic.....I have researched like crazy, I have read tons of studies and doctor's articles and recommendations. And with my new self appointed expert status I have to say my child is in her third day of being cured...that's right folks it is working!!! Avery is a very happy camper, she is pooping more regularly, her stomach is smaller and softer, she is just overall happier, it is truly amazing! I honestly couldn't be more thrilled that my baby is finally happier.
In other news Jolie is home and so super excited! Rich is probably as excited as Jolie that she is back, I even took her up to his work yesterday after she got home so they could see each other. It is a great feeling to have my entire family back under one roof! I was so happy to see Jolie yesterday, I really missed her!
Today, Avery and I are going to get Valentine's gifts for the kids and to run a few errands. Then tomorrow I am going to lunch with my Mom and for a little shopping while my Dad watches Avery, that will be really fun!

Colic Update
So I might shoot myself tonight if I jinx myself by posting this but I am going todo it as this blog cronicles the events of our lives. Last night was perfect, it was quite and we currently have a very happy baby and even better a happy, well rested Mommy. I know everyone is just dying to know what I did so here it is. During my many restless hours over the last several nights I googled "cures for colic" we started with the first few things we saw the gripe water and mylicon, when those didn't work out too well I kept digging and that is when I found it. The "it" was some research about colic and it's causes, this particular research says that colic is caused by the lack of good bacteria in the baby's digestive track. It list several reasons for the lack of the bacteria one being c-sections because this bacteria normally gets passed on from the mother during the time spent in the birth canal during delivery, obviously since Avery was never in the birth canal it would make sense that she was lacking this. So the article suggest some very specific probiotics to fix the problem....I don't have the bottle in front of me as it has to be kept in the fridge but it is from Nature's Way and is for children from birth to five years old. You mix the powder with liquid and give it to them just once a day. It was so far the best $15.99 I have ever spent!!!! I am hoping this will continue to help her, it has only been since yesterday but so far this stuff is liquid gold and if they are looking for a spokeswomen for the product I am their girl! More updates to follow as we progressthroughevery parent's nightmare....the horrors of colic, it really is an awful expiernce, I really didn't know that until having a child with colic, it is not only awful for your child but for the parents as well there is nothing worse than seeing your child sick/uncomfortable, screaming and there is nothing that you are doing to make it better, it really is heart wrenching for the parents.
In unrelated children news Jolie will be home around lunch time, I am so excited to see her, I feel like she has been gone so long, I just know she has grown and change and matured a ton and I have missed it and I don't want to miss those things.

Coming Home
I just got a phone call from Jolie and she is officially on her way home from NC!!!! I have to say it was nice only having one child at home and with Avery's colic it might have been a necessity as Avery normally screams at the top of her lungs from nine at night until at least midnight, sometimes as late as three in the morning but I am so ready to see Jolie, I love her and miss her so much. Last night was one of Avery's worst nights....she screamed full throtle until around 2:30, I cried from about 1 until about 3 am, it was awful. I am super stressed and just so tired with all the screaming! I have literally tried everything...this morning I even picked up these specially probiotics from the health food store and I am trying that, so my colic fixes now consist of gripe water, mylicon, and these probiotics and the normal holding, walking, swinging, bouncing, and whit noise, I hope things get better soon. I never could have imagined how bad colic is, it is the craziest expiernce I can remember in my whole life.

Just when I thought the crying had stopped....
So I thought we were going to be in the clear with the screaming but I think jinxed myself with the last post because last night we were up until about 2:30 am, now I will say she wasn't screaming at the top of her lungs but it was more of a whine so at least it wasn't ear piercing. I am going to continue on with the gripe water and just keep adjusting her schedule til we get it right, will continue to keep posting.
In other news, I am off to the sorority house bright and early tomorrow morning and Daddy is on Avery duty!!! Will have a post about all that early next week. Avery is up from her nap, got to run!

And the sounds of screaming have gone away.....
Okay I don't want to jinx myself but we have officially experienced two nights of a non-screaming baby!!! I am not quite sure how exactly that gripe water stuff works but it is working and I am not questioning it! I will continue to post about Avery's mood as I am not sure that you all care but one day my kids will have kids and like I do to my Mom I am sure they will ask me if they did whatever and then what I did but unlike my Mom I have this written record and won't be relying on my memory because my Mom's famous words when I ask her is "I don't remember". Come on Mom, where is your blog from when I was a kid....oh wait there wasn't even Internet way back then, ha ha!
On to the day at hand today, I have a big sorority meeting this weekend in Gainesville and I have tons of information to put into folders for the meeting so while Avery sleeps today I will be printing from the computer and compiling all the paperwork. This afternoon Avery and iwill beheaded to Publix to pickup a few bogo's that start today and then most importantly we will be picking up some stamps so I can mail out Avery's birth announcements and I have to say they are so freaking cute, I love them, be looking in your mailboxes soon, maybe Saturday or Monday depending.
On a quick Jolie update....she is still in NC with my parents and loving it! It isn't snowing now and most of what they had has melted, however, the forecast is calling for snow possibilities Friday and Saturday. Saturday is my Dad's 60th Birthday so it will be awesome if they can play in the snow for that and then they will be heading home on Monday. I miss her and I am ready for her to come home!!!

Just please don't cry....
Okay this is a follow up to my seris of post yesterday....
Last night 10 pm came and poor little Avery began to scream at the top of her lungs again, ready to pull my own hair out I remembered the comment left on my post yesterday from a friend about gripe water helping with both colic and fussiness, I figure Avery has at least one of those so I sent Rich on an emergency Walmart run to get some. He quickly returns with gripe water in hand and we quickly give our screaming child the recommended dose. I will say she quit screaming at the stop of her lungs almost instantly, it went to more of a light whine but at least it wasn't ear piercing. She fell asleep and then did a little up and down in the early sleep and only slept in three hour sretches but at least it wasn't the full on top of the lungs screaming we were previously experiencing. We will be trying the gripe water again this evening but as Rich and I discussed we will be giving it earlier in the evening to try to prevent the nightly screaming. If there are any other ideas out there I am up for those too, I will try anything at this point, knowing I only have two weeks til I go back to work and I feel like the walking dead and I only have one of my children here and I am not working, wow this mother of two thing might be more difficult than once thought.

Avery Update....
Okay' I have a much happier baby on my hands, thank goodness!! After a conversation with the nurse at the kid's peditrician office I got the answers I needed. She told me not to worry, this happens, I really needed that part, then she told me to start with a 10 minute bath with her bottom under warm water, once done to take a rectal tempature and then to wait. She then told me a whole list of things to try after that if this didn't work. Well I didn't wait long and she was going, a lot! I have to say I have never been this happy to change a baby diaper! The moral of this story is we are back to "regular" and so much happier, all of us!
