Last Day of Work

So I have officially made it to my last day of work, I set out nearly 9 months ago and said that December 15th would be my last day of work and I can't believe first off that it is already December 15th and second off that I actually made it to the day.  There were so many days that I didn't think it would be possible to make it this far and so many days that I didn't want to keep working but I have made it!!  I have to say now that the day is here I am a little sad to be saying goodbye to all my customers and co-workers for the next 8 almost 9 weeks.  Work is so much of who I am, it is going to be weird to not be calling on customers, driving around, being on the phone all the time, dealing with endless problems, and feeling the rush of a huge sale.  I live for being the best at what I do and now I am going to put all that down and focus on myself and my family without the distractions of a normal day, not really sure how that is going to work out.  When I had Jolie I started to go a little stir crazy and actually went back to work a week early, wonder if it will be like that again?  I have a feeling this time my home life is going to be busy enough that I won't be bored at all!!

I feel very ready to have my family of four home and with me, especially with the holidays rapidly approaching, I always dreamed of signing Christmas cards with The Perillo Family and having four names to follow, it just feels so complete.  Although this year we decided not to send a Christmas card because if we did them early Avery wouldn't be in the picture and if I waited it was just going to get crazy so we have opted for a birth announcement for Avery with professional pictures that we are taking right at New Year's and we will include everyone in our new family of four in that.  But I have been able to sign all the Christmas present tags with every one's name and that was a true gift.

Today will be full of last minute orders and goodbyes for now but I just can't wait for the big day that awaits my family on Friday.  I am thrilled to know in less than 48 hours I will be holding my sweet, precious baby girl.  She is sure to complete our family.  I just want both Jolie and Avery to know that their Mom and Dad dreamed about the day that we would have them both with us and we can't wait to watch them grow and see what life has in store for them, we truly feel blessed to be their parents and grateful for the chance to raise them.

My Week in Pictures: Week of December 6th

Monday, December 6th:

Elfie, our family's Elf on the Shelf arrived in our house over the weekend and I have to say telling a 3 1/2 year old that a magic elf is watching them and telling Santa what they are doing works quite well, I love it!!!

Tuesday, December 7th:

So it has been cold outside and I came home and this is what our cats looked like in the pillows of the couch, I guess staying nice and warm!

Wednesday, December 8th:

Today, I finished Avery's name for her room, it is painted and glued and all the crafty part done now on Saturday Rich and my Dad will be hanging it, can't wait to see everything come together, these are the finishing touches for her room and it will be finished just in time.

Thursday, December 9th:
Back to my buys from last week at the dollar store, I bought 2 strings of garland for $1 each and decorated up the dining room chandelier, I think it looks kind of cute and adds a little Christmas spirit you see right as you walk in the door.

Friday, December 10th
With a week to go before we welcome our second daughter it makes me think of when the only "baby" we had was our cute little dog Nixon.

Saturday, December 11th
This is a horrible picture but it might be because it was on the blackberry but probably also because we were all laughing so hard as Jolie was helping Rich dry Nixon off after a bath, it was really funny, not really sure even why but it was a great moment as a family of three.

Sunday, December 12th
Jolie and I spent the afternoon baking cookies and getting her teacher gifts done.  We even made two different kinds of Chex Mix, I have to say Rich and Jolie both tasted everything and said we did a great job! :)

Pre Baby To Do List Update....

Here is the key, anything bold and red is complete, black is still to be done.

1. Decorate the House for Christmas, inside and out.
2. Finish hanging all wall hangings in the house, including in Avery's Nursery.
3. Finish up all Christmas shopping and get it wrapped.

7. Do LARGE grocery store run to stock up for the 2 weeks I won't be driving.  I will have a few last minute things to do Thursday but loaded up the freezer yesterday.
8. Make Jolie's teacher's gifts.9. Finish packing Avery's hospital bag, throw last minute things in my hospital bag.
10. Line up all of Jolie's gifts from Elfie (that is her elf on the shelf) with the date for each item so that either my Mom or Rich can handle it without me.
11. Finish painting shelf for Avery's room.
12. Put together Avery's crib mobile.
13. Deep clean Master Bathroom.  My awesome husband did this for me last night!
14. Clean back porch.
15. Make Christmas Cookies with Jolie.
16. Put car seat bases for Avery's car seat in both cars. Also clean out Rich and Jen's car, vacuumed and washed.

16. Put car seat bases for Avery's car seat in both cars. Also clean out Rich and Jen's car, vacuumed and washed.

WOW, a lot got done, I am so happy.  Unfortunately the carpet cleaners had to reschedule for Tuesday but that is okay, we got a ton of things done.  I am so happy to be nearing the end of my list and with only 6 days to go it is a good thing!!  How funny is it that I have 6 days left of being pregnant and only 6 things left on my list, one a day would get it done, however, after tomorrow I hope to be down to only a few things.  I am working Monday thru Wednesday of next week and will only have Thursday to finish up last minute things and my number one priority for Thursday is a mani and pedi that I feel is much deserved!!

A Milestone in the Countdown

Well, it is officially the day of a major milestone to meeting Baby Avery....we are just one week away, 7 days.  Not to mention today was my last day in the office at work, although I am working until next Wednesday we only go to the office on Fridays for meetings so since today was my last Friday it was my last day in the office, I went to my last meeting until I return in Mid-February.  I can't believe that one week from now I will be holding my precious baby and that our family of four will be complete.  I have to say I am so excited to get to hold my baby, I look forward to all the joy that she will bring to our family, it is unbelievable to me that after nine months of carrying her around in my stomach and feeling her move and grow I will soon be holding her in my arms, wow, that just seems so amazing!!!

In other news I will be making major headway in the Pre-Baby To Do List this weekend, I have a lot of VERY big plans for gettingt things done, I hope that I am able to complete them all before Avery Arrives!!!

Countdown....

Okay, so now we are done to just 8 days left of being pregnant!!  I have to say yesterday actually was a pretty good day...I got home and got a little time to lay on the couch before Jolie and Rich got home and I have to say it makes a huge difference when I get that kind of rest time.
